The article examines the role of marketplaces for the insurance market. The possibilities of marketplaces for the sale of various insurance products are presented and a comparison of financial platforms located in the register of the Bank of Russia is carried out. There are advantages and disadvantages of marketplaces for consumers of financial services and for financial organizations, which provide these products.
In the Russian Federation, the number of purchases on marketplaces is increasing every year. At the same time, the volume of counterfeit products is also growing, which negatively affects consumers, sellers and the state. In connection with this problem, the article identifies the main tools for reducing counterfeit products on marketplaces.
In modern realities, marketplaces represent the leading form of online commerce. Thanks to marketplaces, the end consumer develops a behavioral stereotype associated with trust in online shopping. By developing their platforms, marketplaces contribute to the development of the entire e-commerce market. Marketplaces are forming a new business model available for many areas of activity. The article compares the two largest operating marketplaces in Russia: Wildberries and Ozon in order to answer the question of which platform is preferable for starting a business in the field of online sales.
