The article deals with the study of phraseological units frame structure from a cognitive perspective in the English language. The frame "mental activity" is presented by the English phraseology. The using frame possibility is proved in relation to the analysis of phraseological units. The analysis of frame structure "mental activity" allowed us to understand the specifics of English world perception.
This article presents the features of mental operations of elementary school children’s with mental retardation. Description of the specifics of the mental function is considered as one of the most important directions in the development of a child of primary school age.
The article describes the experience of project activities at school, which allows organizing the educational process so that through the formulation of the problem, students can organize their mental activity, develop communication skills, creatively approach the creation process and the results of work. The main stages of work on projects are shown. The social orientation of the project activity of students is shown, which is reflected in their ability to work in a group, while defending their point of view.
The article deals with cognitive riddles as a means of mental activity of younger schoolchildren in the lesson on the subject «Man and the world». Solving a cognitive riddle activates such mental operations as analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison, systematization, abstraction, concretization.
