The article is devoted to the description of the results of an experimental test of the possibilities of fairy tale therapy in the formation of moral ideas in children of senior preschool age. The author provides a description of the developed program and its testing and concludes that the means of fairy tale therapy provide ample opportunities in the formation and development of the moral sphere in children.
The article reveals the features of the formation of moral values in older preschool children, which is an urgent pedagogical problem. The role of folklore in the formation of moral values in children is noted. The paper also describes an empirical study on the formation of moral values in older preschool children. A set of measures is proposed to work on the formation of moral values in children.
