This collection was formed by a team of teachers from the Leningrad region, the state Enterprise Housewarming. The collection presents tasks aimed at the development of various areas of functional literacy – natural science, mathematics, reading, finance, global competencies and cre-ativity in the subject of «New Year». The tasks are designed for 5th – 7th grade students in the for-mat of an educational quest designed to be conducted in 90 minutes.
The article is devoted to the study of the «New Year's journey from St. Petersburg to Beijing». Special attention is paid to the story of the longest Chinese holiday. During this time, life in the Celestial Empire freezes, Chinese residents have fun, relax and celebrate the holiday in compliance with all national traditions. The proposed problem considers the problem of favorable climatic and geographical conditions that need to be solved. The characteristic features of the energy source in China are highlighted and described. Thus, the article examines the most important aspects of Chinese life.
The article attempts to describe the New Year notion in the Russian conceptual picture of the world. The text of V.F. Odoevsky’s short story «New Year» was involved as a language material. The semantic layers distinctive of this concept and their representatives are revealed within the analysis. The conclusions were drawn about the peculiarities of the lexical and semantic content of the nuclear and peripheral zones of the concept. The linguistic and cultural features of the concept representation which are typical for the linguistic picture of the world of the XIX century are exposed.
