The article discusses the problem of reading skills development in primary school students working with informational texts. It presents the results of a study aimed at revealing the conditions of organization primary school students teaching to work with informational texts. The author checks the hypothesis that the use of sign-symbolic tools, when working with informational texts, contributes to improve texts understanding by primary school students. Examples of text tasks for 3-d grade students are given, which purpose is to develop reading literacy of primary school students.
The article provides an overview of the contents of the Russian language textbook for 8th grade of secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of the concept of the updated content of education. Communication-oriented and text-oriented textbook assignments are described aimed at forming functional literacy of students.
The article describes the conceptual framework for assessing reading literacy in the context of international studies of reading skills assessment and PISA and in practice the development of measurement materials in the framework of monitoring the functional literacy of students in grade 2 of primary education. The author gives an idea of the role and place of modern assessment tools for measuring students ' reading skills. The obtained data was monitored.
This article includes tasks in various areas of functional literacy (reading literacy, mathematical literacy, natural science literacy, global competencies and creative thinking). All materials are united by a common theme: "Granite". The tasks are designed for students of grades 5–7, taking into account the age characteristics of children. The work is aimed at developing the individual's abilities to formulate, apply and interpret knowledge in a variety of contexts. The illustrations used in the work are taken from open sources on the Internet.
This article deals with the issue of functional literacy formation of schoolchildren at different stages (primary school – secondary school). The article describes in detail its components: reading, mathematical, natural science literacy. The authors of the article present a set of tasks used during mathematics lessons, the world around us lesson, the Russian language, technology, while implementing project activities in elementary school and in the middle level.
