The article is devoted to the patriotic education of preschool children. It examines the definitions of the concepts of "patriotism", "patriotic education", "patriotic education of preschool children". The article analyzes the problems, explains the possibilities of their successful solution in preschool childhood; reveals the tasks, principles, content, forms and methods of developing interaction between adults and children, aimed at the spiritual and moral development of preschoolers, and possible positive results of this activity. The article reveals the features of spiritual and moral development and upbringing of preschool children. The methods of moral education are listed, and some recommendations are given to teachers.

The subject of the article reflects the topical problem of the possibilities, forms and methods of solving the tasks of educating young generations in educational institutions of various levels, including military universities.

In the article, the authors reflected the need for a modern educational organization to function in accordance with certain general pedagogical requirements that ensure the effective participation of education in solving the most important national problems.

The relevance of the provisions considered in the article is due to the specifics of patriotic education of students of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation as future representatives of the army and Navy officer corps. In the article, the authors consider the main military-patriotic aspects of the training of military (aviation) specialists based on the historical military traditions of our people, which are currently relevant in their opinion.

The article discusses the features of patriotic education of cadets of a military university, shows the legislative basis for patriotic work in the Russian Federation, defines the pedagogical and methodological aspects of work in this direction, shows the optimal conditions for its implementation, and generalizes the forms of patriotic education.
