Based on the analysis of content of guide’s activities the article explores the professional qualities inherent in the guides, considers the methods of their development as well as the techniques of their evaluation, which can be used in educational programs for young guides.
The article examines the history of social work as a factor influencing the formation of professionally significant qualities in future social work specialists. The professionally significant qualities of social workers necessary for the successful performance of professional activity are analyzed. An attempt is made to substantiate the need to study the history of social assistance and support as a factor in the development of moral and ethical qualities of young specialists in social work.
Personal qualities represented by the Big Five factors are studied in the structure of professionally important qualities of psychologists. It has been established that the personal qualities of psychologists are characterized by wide variability observed both at the stage of university education and for working specialists. Interrelations between the factors of the Big Five and professional orientation are revealed.
