The professionally oriented competence of the RVDKU cadets studying the Persian language is formed within the framework of the discipline "Practical course of speech communication", which is included in the curriculum of the specialty "Translation and Translation Studies". The subject plan of the discipline includes 14 sections, which are filled with the corresponding text material. The textual material is put together in a teaching aid, which should reveal the basic concepts of the conceptual apparatus of the culture of the Iranian-speaking states (Iran and Afghanistan). Recommendations for the selection of textual material constitute the content of this article.
The article examines modern approaches to foreign language teaching, focusing on the development of professionally-oriented foreign language competence among students in the humanities. The author analyzes key methodological strategies aimed at integrating language learning with professional training and emphasizes the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in the educational process. The paper presents examples of successful practices that contribute to the development of communication skills and critical thinking among students, as well as discusses modern technologies and resources used in teaching. The article will be useful for educators, methodologists, and researchers interested in enhancing the effectiveness of foreign language instruction in the context of humanities education.
