The article examines the interactions of different cultures against the backdrop of rapid globalization and active migration of the population around the world. Since intercultural conflicts lead to imbalances in society, and in some places to the loss of national identity, accul-turation strategies that migrants choose for their own adaptation to life in a multicultural environment are very important. The article presents the concept of intercultural interaction and, accordingly, four acculturation strategies proposed by the Canadian scientist J. Berry, namely: assimilation, separation/segregation, marginalization and integration. It is determined that the integration strategy is considered the most successful. At the same time, it is acceptable only in a society with a relatively low level of prejudice, positive relations between different cultural groups and a wide range of cultural values.
