Family and childhood issues in the modern world are an absolute priority of state social policy, which means that social protection institutions are interested in providing a wide range of services using innovative activities. The effectiveness of the application of social design depends on many factors: the qualifications and motivation of employees, methodological equipment, the material and technical base of the institution, ac-cumulated experience in this field. In order to analyze the application of social design by organizations of social services for families and children of the Smolensk region, we conducted a study aimed at studying innovative activities through the project.
