This article touches upon the issues of forming foreign language communicative competence by using biographies of famous personalities of the region in the process of learning a foreign language. The author examines the problem of the formation of local history knowledge and also gives examples of ways of introducing the topic during foreign language classes, paying special attention to the possibility of using the socio-cultural material of the region for the formation of socio-cultural competence as an integral part of communicative competence, as well as cultural identity and love for the Motherland.
The article examines theoretical aspects of the problem of forming socio-cultural competence while teaching junior schoolchildren foreign languages, analyzes various definitions of socio-cultural competence and its components, and describes the advantages and principles of using authentic materials in teaching intercultural communication. Particular attention is paid to the discussion of the expediency of introducing authentic video materials through W. Disney cartoons, thanks to which students will develop socio-cultural competence. The author highlights the psychophysiological features of children’s development at an early school age, and also describes the requirements for choosing a cartoon and the conditions for organizing the lesson based on it, offers electronic educational resources.
Sociocultural competence is an essential structural component of successful communication, it is responsible for the full realization of a person in a multicultural world. This article discusses systemic, culturological and personality-oriented approaches to the formation of socio-cultural competence.
The study examines the problem of developing socio-cultural competence among future managers in the context of the digitalization of the educational environment. The analysis shows that the mechanism of digitalization of the educational process for Management students both expands the possibilities of professional training provided digital technologies are used, and creates certain risks associated with the loss of the potential of higher education in the purposeful development of traditional spiritual and moral orientations. The paper examines the functions of the digital educational environment and its structure at the university in the process of instilling socio-cultural competence in future managers, analyzes its impact on the personal and professional development of management students. The study also reveals the possibilities of digital tools for the integrated and purposeful formation of socio-cultural competence. At the same time, the article describes the possible consequences of a decrease in the frequency of face-to-face communication with a teacher, a group, such as the consolidation of utilitarian models of managerial thinking and the threat of value disorientation of the student manager. The most optimal pedagogical solutions based on a combination of digital and traditional forms of learning and on the active development of critical thinking are proposed.
