The relevance of the research topic is due to a variety of global reasons, among which there is a correlating relationship between the level and quality of higher education and the general condition of law enforcement agencies practice. Thus, participation of highly qualified specialists in the labor market will significantly reduce the quantitative and qualitative indicators of national crime rate, improve the preventive activities of law enforcement agencies. The main purpose of the study is the development of a set of measures to improve the educational process in terms of teaching disciplines of the forensic cycle in higher educational institutions and organizations. The article analyzes the provisions of the regulatory framework in the field of educational activity and the tenets of the doctrine on the organization and provision of the educational process in higher educational institutions. The opinions and approaches of domestic and foreign authors are studied, the theoretical and empirical knowledge in the field of teaching disciplines of the forensic cycle in higher educational institutions and organizations is accumulated, a range of relevant problems and ways to resolve them in the near future are outlined. The use of modern methods of cybernetic research has made it possible to identify vulnerable points in the organization and provision of the educational process in higher educational institutions and organizations and to develop a set of practical measures to eliminate them. The measures proposed by the author of the publication to improve the educational process and the educational technologies used in it are the reflection of the accumulated empirical experience in the field of teaching applied legal disciplines. The theoretical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of their use in the course of further scientific developments on the stated topic.
