The article is devoted to the theatres of Ryazan and especially to the Drama Theatre. It is shown that the theatre has played an important role for residents of the city during all periods of its existence. Particular attention is drawn to the history of the theatre, its transformation during a long time, as well as the repertoire. The names of famous actors are mentioned who brought fame to the city at the All-Russian level.

This article is devoted to the history of the theatre. Also, the relevance of theatrical activity in modern world is described. The author views the phenomenon of the theatre from several perspectives: as a spectator based on her personal experience and from actor’s point of view, because to some extent all of us are actors in this world.
