Features of the organization of volunteer movement of youth at the level of local community are considered in the article, the main concepts of volunteering, work forms with the volunteer organizations are revealed.

The paper studied the experience of volunteering in the municipality Armavir.

The paper aims to study the features of social-pedagogical activity of students-volunteers in the conditions of higher educational institutions. The paper discusses the concepts “volunteering”, “voluntary activities at university”; highlights the main types of volunteer activities. The empirical part of the study analyzes the forms of social-pedagogical activity of students-volunteers. The author singles out evaluation levels of volunteer activities, develops recommendations for organization students volunteer activities at university.

The article deals with the organization of volunteer assistance in the framework of the activities of the institutions of the VOS. The main attention is paid to the problem of identifying areas, forms of implementation of the technology of interaction "volunteer – visually impaired", as well as the domestic experience of charitable activities of care institutions for people with visual disabilities.

In article the importance of the shaping of leadership characteristics and organizational skills by students of pedagogical specialty is explained. The development of this characteristics through participation in the volunteer activity are proposed. The analysis of interview of students and young teachers are presented in which it was found how volunteerism influence self-realization of future teacher.
