the work is devoted to assessing the water quality of the Irtysh River in the territory of the city of Tobolsk using the bio-indicator method. The results of this work are of practical importance for improving the system of monitoring and environmental management. The relevance of this study lies in the fact that water resources have begun to be used in disproportionate amounts, for this reason, today, the biological study of natural waters in the interest of protecting the hydrosphere and improving its nature management becomes important.
The article deals with the shortage of fresh water on the continent of Africa. The principles of solving water extraction in the countries of the hot continent are outlined. The problems associated with water scarcity in arid regions are considered. The purpose of this article is to find ways to rationally solve the situation and highlight innovative methods to find a way out of this situation.
The quality of water, the chemical, physical and biological characteristics of water based on the standards of its use serves as the basis for epidemic safety and public health. The purpose of the study was to analyze the drinking water quality of centralized drinking water supply systems of the Smolensk region for 2016-2020. Materials and methods. The object of the study was sanitary-chemical and microbiological indicators of water quality from sources of drinking centralized water supply and from the distribution network of the region. The materials from the Office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in the Smolensk Region on the quality of drinking water for 2016-2020were used in the study. Results. During the study period, the quality of drinking water from centralized water supply sources and from the distribution network in terms of sanitary and chemical indicators increased slightly, remaining practical in terms of microbiological parameters. Findings. The features of the drinking water quality are revealed, the need to take into account a number of indicators of the drinking water quality is proved.
