Article is devoted to questions of development of educational independence of younger school students in the course of mastering by coherent written speech. The author presented model of formation of educational independence of younger school students which effectively acts at the expense of system of the educational tasks included in educational process of traditional school. In article specific features of manifestation of a self-assessment at younger school age, her types are considered: the adequate self-assessment overestimated, underestimated. The author notes that now more and more visible effect of a self-assessment of the younger school student on his behavior, interpersonal contacts. In order that the child felt happy, was capable to adapt and overcome better difficulties, he needs to have a positive idea of himself, an adequate self-assessment.
