The article considers theoretical aspects of interaction of school and family as an important factor of child’s adaptation to school. Global informatization processes actively invaded into leisure space through computer games. The article analyzes the effect of virtual and real games in the first-grader’s adaptation process, the main problems are highlighted and solution ways are targeted.

He also notes the peculiarities of psychological-pedagogical adaptation to school for children with mental retardation and the indigenous peoples of the North. Taking into account the identified features, the author studies the methodological approaches to psychological and pedagogical adaptation to school for children with mental retardation: bilingual and ethnic.
