The paper presents the experience of teaching courses for training students at Technology and Design De-partment. During training, students gain skills in computer-aided design, familiar with modern methods of information, organized self-study and practical work of students through the use of network technologies.

The authors present the results of testing the specialized website "Tekhnoveds", designed to explore the elements of the XXI century technology in additional technological training of schoolchildren. Website is based on the use of network technologies.

The authors discuss the feasibility of studying one of the areas of modern technologies by schoolchildren. The basic terms of nanotechnology, historical facts of a new field of science and technology, the main content of the curriculum of supplementary educational program are presented in the article.

The online communities of teachers for professional communication and development of information and educational environment of subject teaching is actual nowadays. The authors describe the experience of Children’s Creativity Center in creation the network community for teachers of technology and educational specialists of additional education.
