The paper studies the conditions for obtaining modifying additives based on polymer-polymer complexes and flame retardants for use modifiers as flame retardants for textiles. The authors used complexing polymers - polyacrylic acid and polyvinyl alcohol, as well as the commonly used flame retardants based on organic and inorganic phosphorus and amine salts. The conditions of formation polycomplexes in aqueous solutions of different flame retardants were studied.

The paper presents the results of effective method of modifying cellulosic textile materials. The authors determine optimum parameters of the modification process impregnated with cotton padding aflammitom KWB, which provide a stable flame retardant effect with oxygen index of 27.9-28.2%. Modification using the electromagnetic field is not effective. Modification of the interpolymer complex containing flame retardants of different chemical nature PUCO-FLAM PCE, aflammit KWB and PUCO-FLAM NUV provides cotton fabric flame retardant effect with oxygen index of 27-37% vol., But it is not resistant to washing.

The author analyzes scientific bases of reducing the flammability of fiber-forming polymers, and methods for estimating the fire resistance of textiles and clothing packages. The paper describes the modification technology of cellulosic tissue by phosphorus flame retardant aflammit KWB. The optimum parameters of the modification process provide increase the oxygen index of cotton cloth to 38-40%. The effect of the flame-retardant modifications to the physical and mechanical properties is studied.
