The paper analyses the method of projects, which is one of the most efficient in teaching the English lan-guage. The paper examines the main theoretical and practical basis for the use of project methodology in educational process. Moreover, the paper illustrates the results of the experiment of the Department of History and Philology of the Stavropol State Pedagogical Institute. The use of the method of projects is thought to improve the motivation to language learning. The purpose of the research is to prove the effectiveness of the method of projects.

The paper discusses a set of techniques of increasing motivation to physical education lessons for high school students. The expediency of application of all kinds of motivation (internal and external motivation and outlook, as well as minimizing the factors, which lower the level of motivation). The author develops the methods and techniques for improving active interest in physical education classes for each type of motivation.
