This article discusses game as a method of teaching a foreign language in primary school, provides some examples of games for introducing and consolidating the studied vocabulary.
The article discusses the theoretical aspects of managing extracurricular activities in primary schools, its types-intra-school and integrative, and analyzes regulatory documents. A variety of directions and forms of extracurricular activities that contribute to the personal development of students, allowing them to apply their knowledge in various life situations. According to the author, effective organization of extracurricular activities is possible through the creation of organizational and pedagogical conditions, including mentoring, professional development, provision of scientific literature, internships, trainings, seminars, etc.
The article suggests a model for organizing extracurricular activities in Moscow state educational INSTITUTION "School No. 1861 "zagorye" based on the work of an extended day group. It is noted that the changes taking place in modern society require accelerated improvement of the educational space, the definition of educational goals that take into account the state, social and personal needs and interests of the student. According to the author, extracurricular activities play a special, completely new role in this context. To properly implement new approaches in extracurricular activities, it is necessary not only to possess theoretical and methodological knowledge in this area, but also to be able to find practical applications for them.
