The article reveals the possibilities of extracurricular activities in the formation of compositional skills of younger schoolchildren in working with applications. The results of a study to identify the level of formation of compositional skills in children of primary school age and the beginning of the formative stage of the study are described.

In conclusion, the article provides recommendations on the organization of independent work in mathematics lessons in elementary school to achieve maximum effect in teaching students.

The paper examines the influence of various teaching methods on the formation of ideas about geometry in children, as well as the peculiarities of learning educational material, depending on the individual characteristics of students.
