The article reflects the results of the study of voluntary attention of senior preschool age children with general underdevelopment of speech. The authors discuss the issue of using the obtained results in organizing speech therapy correctional work to increase the level of such attention features development as volume, productivity, stability, concentration for further successful education of children in school.
The article presents information about the features of attention development in children with mental retardation. The author highlights the specifics of the development of attention properties of this category of children, and also substantiates the need for a comprehensive impact of specialists in correctional work with children with mental retardation.
