The paper deals with electronic educational resources in the educational process. Nowadays time dictates the necessity of transition from delinked, eclectic means of informational support, used at the universities now, to an integral system, capable to act as a tool of organization, management and methodological support of the educational programs at the University. This system should be a unified educational and information environment (EIS) of the University.

The paper deals with the recent trends of the development of informational support of educational process at modern higher education institution of economics. The future changes and prospects of educational process against the background of stable informational support and enhancement of information systems in the Russian higher education are considered.
