Studying foreign languages students are faced with a number of facts, relating not only to the vocabulary, grammar, style, but also to social, domestic or historic area. Learning English includes the variety of aspects. The article deals with the linguistic-cultural aspect as one of the major ones, providing the intercul-tural communicative competence.

This article focuses on the linguistic-cultural aspect of the working programs in German language. The article presents examples of creating learning situations in German language lessons contributing to the development of sociocultural skills. The authors made a conclusion about advisable use of the linguistic-cultural aspect in the lessons of German.
