In the Voronezh region, trends have recently been observed that are characteristic of the whole country as a whole – this is the active development and increase in the number of regional media, in connection with which the problem of choosing a name becomes urgent. The purpose of the study is to identify the specifics of the names of Voronezh publications. In the course of the work, the authors came to the conclusion that nominative complexes predominate among the hemeronyms of the Voronezh media field, which include a toponymic attribute that allows the most complete and accurate representation of the locally oriented content of the publication.
Based on the material of the Anglo-Saxon heroic epic Beowulf, the images of the ancient peoples inhabiting the North of Europe in ancient times, their attitude to the natural elements are studied. The semantic inconsistency of the metaphor is revealed. To be more exact, the replacing one descriptive meaning with another one, the transition of the subject meaning to the category of feature (semantic shift), the sign of an auxiliary subject, located in the environment of feature words, are investigated.
The work considers the semantics of the housing nomination based on the material of Russian old-timer dialects of Yakutia. The vocabulary presented in the dialects reflects the historical and cultural path of development of Russian old-timers, the peculiarities of the functioning and development of the language in a foreign language environment and isolation. Analysis of the semantics of nominations made it possible to identify a wide variety of species and types in the names of dwellings, which allowed the author to sys-tematize them into groups.
The article deals with the concept of HARACH «eye», which was not previously the object of research. The goal is to determine the language means that objectify the HARACH «eye» as a mental unit in the Yakut concept sphere. The description of the semantics of language means representing the concept HARAH «eye» is given through the construction of the nominative field of the concept and the identification of key representatives – the lexemes harah «eye» and kѳr «to see». Their synonyms used in various styles of speech are included in the core of the field, the near and far peripheries of the field are es-tablished. A distributive analysis of various texts made it possible to identify the most fre-quent and most striking, communicatively relevant combinations of lexemes kharakh and kѳr.
