The author of the article analyses the results of the sociological studies in Togliatti. They showed that opinions of schools graduates about the city are defined by factors of school socialization. Estimation of the city depends on relations of teenagers to history and tradition Togliatti.

The article is devoted to the actual problem of regional identity formation. In modern science, regional and local identity are considered as an alternative to the unification of culture. The information was obtained with the help of Tolyatti residents’ public opinion poll about the image of the city on the Internet. The factors contributing to the formation of the regional identity of Togliatti population were identified. These include attractive photos of the city, its surroundings, information on the improvement of the city, the prospects for its development. The author makes analysis of the factors that negatively affect regional identity.

There is a crisis of identity in modern society. It finds expression in the fact that the value bases of identity are not stable. Identity is the result of social constructing. The crisis of local identity is manifested in the minds of young people. The information about the attitude of young people towards the city was obtained after analysis of the results of the Tolyatti youth survey. The researchers identified groups of young people depending on the formation of local identity. They are shaped on the basis of the distribution of respondents' opinions about aspects of urban life that give it its uniqueness. The author analyzes the signs of local identity crisis, which are manifested in the creation of the controversial image of Togliatti.

The article discusses the concept of "image of the city." The author analyzes the poetry of Pavlodar poets of different time periods – Pavel Vasiliev and Olga Grigorieva, which are inextricably linked with the history and cultural appearance of Pavlodar. The poetry of Pavel Vasiliev is a cultural and literary value of Eurasian scale. Olga Grigoryeva is a modern author, but her poetry is rightfully included in the general cultural fund of Pavlodar Irtysh. By analyzing poetic texts, the author reveals the appearance of the city of different eras. The work is a continuation of scientific research in the framework of the project "The general cultural landscape of Pavlodar as an encyclopedic phenomenon."

In the Voronezh region, trends have recently been observed that are characteristic of the whole country as a whole – this is the active development and increase in the number of regional media, in connection with which the problem of choosing a name becomes urgent. The purpose of the study is to identify the specifics of the names of Voronezh publications. In the course of the work, the authors came to the conclusion that nominative complexes predominate among the hemeronyms of the Voronezh media field, which include a toponymic attribute that allows the most complete and accurate representation of the locally oriented content of the publication.
