The study contains the results of the efforts to identify the stock markets reaction to the emergence of a pandemic in 2020. For the comparative analysis, daily data on the closing stock indices prices of the Russian Federation and the United States of America were used. Based on the conclusions of the comparative and graphical analysis, the main two hypotheses were tested about the significance of the unique crisis, which led to large-scale changes in the economy of many countries, including the transformation of financial markets. The relevance of this work lies in identifying the potential for building new research chains to detect and analyze other factors that affect the behavior of a wide range of markets in developing and developed countries during economic decline.
This article presents the experience of distance learning of students of the art faculty of the Orthodox St. Tikhon University for the Humanities in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Online education could not but affect the quality of education. The experience of implementing art education in an online environment helped to identify some of the problems and limitations of distance learning, as well as to understand the prospects for its development and the impact of innovative technologies on the formation of students' motivation. The PSTGU distance learning system was created on the Moodle platform. The article discusses the features of using the SDO PSTGU software module for the Faculty of Church Arts.
Events related to the covid-19 virus pandemic in the world (2020 – present) served as a catalyst for the emergence of a large number of neologisms. Based on the material of the French-speaking press, the author identifies and analyzes the neologisms that appeared during this period of time. Based on the analysis, the author concludes that these neologisms were formed mainly by semantic mechanisms, as well as word formation mechanisms and relate to the field of medicine and society. Some of the neologisms are of an affective nature and are based on wordplay and homophony. Their rapid spread is facilitated by the Internet, in particular, social networks and blogs.
