In the modern world, characterized by a high level of competition, perfectionism has become one of society's problems. The aim of the article is to identify the characteristics of the perfectionism manifestation in female students of different ages. The article presents the results of an empirical study of general perfectionism and its structural components in female students aged 18-23 years studying at the Faculty of Psychology of TSPU named after L.N. Tolstoy. A significant relationship has been found between the perfectionist attitudes of female students and the characteristics of their age-related development. The research results have practical significance for organizing psychological support for students in the development of normal perfectionism.
