The article discusses the problems of preventive work with younger schoolchildren and adolescents with victim behavior and those prone to victim behavior. The article analyzes the problem of the manifestation of the characteristics of vitality in the youth of psychology students of the OGPU. The interrelation of personal characteristics (involvement, control, risk-taking) and their manifestations in the behavior of psychology students is traced on the basis of the proposed situations, taking into account their psychophysical and age characteristics.

The article presents the results of a study of the personal characteristics of high school students using the 14-factor questionnaire by R. Kettel (HSPQ – a variant for teenagers). An analysis of the personal characteristics of students participating in the study is carried out, the results of the study are summed up and a conclusion is made about the prevailing personal characteristics.
