The article examines the joint work of a family and a preschool educational institution as a condition for the successful civic education of a child. The author defines innovative approaches, techniques, draws conclusions about the main directions of integration of the activities of a preschool educational institution and the family in the upbringing of a citizen. The necessary conditions for productive work are highlighted: the integration of the content of education and knowledge of the world, the relationship between values and citizenship, the creation of a favorable environment.
The article discusses the peculiarities of adaptation of young children to the conditions of preschool educational institutions, presents the types of adaptation to kindergarten, characterizes each of the types, presents methodological recommendations to parents during the period of adaptation of the child.
