The article deals with a few ways of language representation of the temporal component of the concept «live». The author comes to the conclusion that the phase state as a structural concept element «live» is realized by different units of the language system levels: polysemantic derivatives, word combinations, and the representatives of this conceptual property not only indicate some phase state but fill it with a certain event contents.

The researches’ actuality is determinated by the necessity of important old artworks’ reconsideration in a new epoch with the help of modern stylistic device and with the necessity to determine new scientific approaches in the context of social, political, cultural and moral aspects, to study works of art by Charles Dickens from the scientific point of view. The present research aims to prove the availability of the repetitions’ study, the examination of their stylistics peculiarities, their role in providing information, using as a means of language expressiveness in belletristic literature and efficient impact on potential readers. Works of art by Charles Dickens «Bleak House» and «The Pickwick papers» were the materials of investigation. In the research the repetitions’ species used by Charles Dickens for expressing his main ideas and for creating colorful images of his characters were determined.

The article considers the issue of the place of reduplication in the system of repetition types, belonging to different levels of the modern Russian language: phonetic, word building, lexical, morphological, and syntactic. It is noted that reduplication refers primarily to the word-building level of the language, since with its help new language units are formed on the basis of repetitions. The author touches upon a question of repetition and reduplication importance in the language and their diverse functions in particular.
