Increasing the effectiveness of scientific sector functioning is one of the prerequisites for the innovative development of the country, therefore, studies related to the analysis of the scientific complex structure can be considered relevant. The purpose of the article is to assess the staffing of the Russian scientific complex, analyze its personnel component and justify the directions for improving the functioning of the country's scientific complex. Based on the results of the study, a set of measures aimed at improving the effectiveness of country's scientific complex functioning is substantiated.
This article examines the activities of famous graduates of the Tobolsk gymnasium of the second half of the XIX century – early XX centuries, their biographies and the history of their life path are given, their scientific and social work is evaluated in order to include biographical essays in the Biographical Dictionary of graduates of the Tobolsk classical gymnasium of the XIX – early XX centuries. Among the graduates of the gymnasium are famous teachers, heads of educational institutions: Vladimir Modestovich Bradis, Mitrofan Alekseevich Vodyannikov, Boris Nikolaevich Gorodkov, Arkady Stepanovich Znamensky, Sergey Pavlovich Sword, Vasily Mikhailovich Novitsky, Ivan Yakovlevich Slovtsov, Gavriil Konstantinovich, Tarunin Mikhail Petrovich, Anatoly Aleksandrovich Ternovsky, etc. All of these people were engaged not only in pedagogical, but also in research activities, successfully combining the educational process with expeditionary and laboratory research. This cohort also includes rectors of Kazan University Andrey Kirillovich Chugunov, a scientist and technologist of glass production and Nikolai Alexandrovich Kremlev, a specialist in the field of Roman law. Another group of researchers unites scientific activities in the field of geology research: Yakov Antonovich – Makerov, Director of the Far Eastern Department of the Geological Committee, Mikhail Mikhailovich Filatov, Professor of soil Science.
