This article examines some of the features of using a STEM approach to teaching mathematics in secondary vocational education. It provides examples of studying certain topics from a mathematics course in secondary vocational education. It also discusses software tools that can be used in STEM education.
The article discusses the problem of a shortage of qualified specialists in the field of maintenance and operation of multi-apartment buildings (MAPBs), who are able to effectively solve complex technological problems that arise during the operation of modern residential complexes. The article proposes a solution in the form of introducing a STEM approach to the educational programs for training relevant specialists. The current experience of implementing STEM education in this field is analyzed, and key problems and prospects for further development are identified. Special attention is paid to increasing the practical orientation of education and developing interdisciplinary skills among students.
The relevance of introducing STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) into the system of training specialists
in hairdressing art is considered. The main directions of modernization are highlighted: updating curricula, digitalization of educational process, cooperation with industry partners, and support for student initiatives. The necessity
of combining scientific knowledge and technical skills to improve the quality
of graduates' preparation is emphasized.
The article discusses the use of modern educational STEM technologies for the development of musical and creative abilities in preschool children and the formation of their musical culture from an early age. STEM technologies promote the development of preschoolers' interest in science, technology, and education, as well as stimulate their initiative, ability for unconventional thinking, cultural development, and the formation of creative thinking. Attention is paid to project activities, where children can experiment with musical instruments, learn the basics of sound waves and rhythm, and apply mathematical concepts in music.
Currently, society is in dire need of engineering personnel, which speaks of the need to improve the educational process, the application of modern
approaches aimed at the formation of innovative thinking of students, including in teaching physics. One of the directions of improving the level of training of students is the application of STEM education in organizing research activities in teaching physics at school.
