The article is devoted to the actual problem of ensuring the quality of general education chemistry - the formation of universal student learning activities by integrating the natural sciences and humanities in the teaching of chemistry. Formulation and solution of current and new problems arise from the leading ideas, reflected in the documents of UNESCO National Education initiative "Our new school" and a new generation of standards that define the quality of general education as the level of social maturity of pupils, sufficient for autonomy, competence and autonomy in various spheres of life

Article is devoted to the problem of optimizing the overall chemical education through the use of integrated cognitive tasks in teaching students of chemistry. The solution of the problem is due to the leading ideas reflected in the documents of UNESCO and the Federal state educational standard of general education of the Russian Federation.

The article continues to discuss issues of common optimization of chemical education raised in the previous issue of the journal, through the use of integrated cognitive tasks in teaching students of chemistry. It presents some examples of these tasks with the comments and decisions.
