The article deals with the role of the multicultural educational environment of a university in teaching cross-cultural competence. Ethnopsychological and ethnolinguistic peculiarities of Turkmen students are being studied. The urgency of the problem under study is determined by current educational tendencies.
The article studies new forms of mentoring and peculiarities of their use in multicultural academic environment. The aim of the article is to summarize the experience of using various forms of mentoring while working with foreign students and applicants. The authors suggest introducing universal holistic program of mentoring foreign students for quicker and more productive professional development of foreign students in Russian universities.
