The work is devoted to the development of transport infrastructure. The conceptual aspects of the implementation of various solutions that make it possible to alleviate the situation caused by the increase in production and services in the world market are considered.

The article gives the definition of the "intelligent transport system" concept, outlines its main functions and the main role. The advantages for passengers of public transport in case of the full-scale implementation of an intelligent transport system are discussed. The author justifies the necessity of the intelligent transport system development in the Krasnodar region.
