The article discusses the ways of forming abilities of intercultural communication in the light of modern re-quirements for teaching of foreign languages in non-linguistic universities

the article discusses the locative structure of the sentence in Rutul language, which is formed by eight local cases, its features. The action object in sentences with subject, illustrated by one of the local cases, is ex-pressed by the name in nominative and is coordinated with the predicate in class and form, as in the erga-tive sentences and dative construction.

The article examines the linguistic relationships between people which, at whatever level they are developing, are realized by means of the interaction of languages. Changes in the lives of the peoples are reflected in the lexicon, which represents a subsystem of language that actively responds to extralinguistic phenomena in the peoples’ life.

The eastern borrowings in fiysky dialect of lezgin language are studied in this article, namely Arab, Iranian and Turkish borrowings. The study attempt of the effect of eastern borrowings on the lexical and semantic system of lezgin language in fyisky dialect is made.

In the article "Translation as a kind of intercultural communication" is characterized the kinds of linguistic mediation. Discussed is the need for a deep theoretical and practical understanding of the changes in the language from the positions of sociolinguistic analysis. Considerable attention is paid to translation as a form of intercultural communication.

In the article we are talking about the formation of skills to organize the educational process in the study of foreign languages of the 1st year students of foreign languages faculty. The reading represents the kind of speech activity, where people can feel independent, autonomous, since they can independently manage their reading activity

In the age of multi-cultural dialogue especially important is the development of multilingual and multicultural linguistic identity. It is the bearer of linguistic and intercultural competences who is able to participate fully in intercultural communication, to realize itself in the dialogue of cultures. The successful formation of the lan-guage and multicultural personality is directly related to the ability to manage their learning activities. There-fore, the basic principles underlying the innovative methods of teaching foreign languages should be: indi-viduality, independence and continuity of learning levels
