In the article "Translation as a kind of intercultural communication" is characterized the kinds of linguistic mediation. Discussed is the need for a deep theoretical and practical understanding of the changes in the language from the positions of sociolinguistic analysis. Considerable attention is paid to translation as a form of intercultural communication.

The terminological apparatus reflecting the content of the stated research task is considered in the article. The concept of "Effect" and "Efficiency" is analyzed and a version of these terms interpretation is presented; the classification of efficiency types is considered; the main goals of the enterprise effective functioning are outlined; special attention is paid to the study of economic and social, as well as socio-economic efficiency; the basic concepts of efficiency (categories, principles, indicators) are investigated with detailed consideration of each; the author's definition of "enterprise efficiency" and " enterprise efficiency evaluation" is presented; the main tasks of the enterprise efficiency evaluation are underlined; the importance of enterprise efficiency evaluation for the enterprise and society is determined.

The article is devoted to the issues of determining performance indicators for assessing the results of implementing the development strategy of an enterprise in the agrarian business sector. The essence of the categories «strategy», «effect» and «efficiency» is revealed in the work, types of strategies are given. Two interconnected parts of indicators of economic efficiency of production, in relation to agricultural production, are defined. Eleven blocks are defined in the general scheme of sets of performance indicators.
