Currently, medical informatics is integrated into all areas of medicine, which sets specific requirements for medical education. Future doctor should be ready to use modern information technologies in their professional activities.

At present, information technologies are widely used in medicine, which imposes relevant requirements on the preparation of a future physician. The study of "Medical Informatics" is of particular importance. The role of distance technologies in the educational process is also increasing.

The integration of information technology and higher mathematics at the university is relevant in modern conditions. The consequence of this integration is the expansion of students' ideas about the possibilities of the mathematical apparatus. One of the difficulties of the systematic use of information technology in teaching higher mathematics is the lack of time. The authors propose to use information technology in the independent work of students.

Currently, distance learning, along with full-time education, is the most in demand. The essential advantages of such education are accessibility, since the main tool is a computer, and saving time on transportation. The main problem of distance learning is the issue of knowledge control, because the teacher must see what the student is writing, where he is mistaken and where he is not. The authors propose to use a graphics tablet monitor, Google Hangouts service and require the installation of an additional webcam for each student.

The article deals with the experience of training in mathematics with application packages, such as Maple and Mathcad for students of humanities and pharmaceutical areas.
