Changes in crystal structure of metal at action of variable tension are considered. The description of the mechanism of formation of dislocations is given. On the basis of the dislocation theory process of emergence and development of cracks of fatigue is described. The main processes which are the cornerstone of fatigue failure are listed and grouped.
The influence of basalt fiber and the type of its laying on the strength properties of a composite material based on fresh ice has been studied. Regularities of damage accumulation in ice composite material are analyzed using the acoustic emission method. The experiments used massive samples obtained under natural conditions by layer-by-layer freezing. It is shown that with a doubling of the filler content, the bending strength of the ice composite increases by 1.5 times, and its durability increases. The scale effect of strength is discussed.
The paper investigates the strength characteristics during compression and bending at low temperatures of concrete based on local raw materials of Yakutia, and local wood using polymer impregnation «Amokor», as a result of which data on the increase in strength characteristics of the material, the internal structure of modified concrete are obtained.
The effect of moisture and low temperature, characteristic of the extremely cold climate of Yakutsk, on the mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced plastics for aviation has been studied. It is shown that the effect of low temperature has a positive effect on the strength and fatigue of carbon fiber reinforced plastics. Cycles «moisture saturation-freezing» form damage that reduces its fatigue life of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, especially at large loading amplitudes.
