In article efficiency of professional activity of the psychologist working in the field of career guidance is investigated: interrelation of the choice of the direction of preparation according to results of professional testing and educational success of students of higher education institution. The short review of work of the psychologist in the field of career guidance is carried out. On the basis of the analysis of experimental data of selection of 72 students 2-3 courses the conclusion is drawn on rather higher success of the students who have chosen the direction of preparation on educational programs of higher education institution according to results of professional testing.

This article provides information about the phenomenon of educational success in primary school age. We examined in detail the concept of "learning success", characterized the features of primary school age and the criteria for the development of educational success in primary school age. As a result of the work, we concluded that academic success is not just the acquisition of certain knowledge, skills and abilities, but also the formation of UUD, the personal development of the student.

This article provides theoretical information on the problem of developing educational success in primary school age. The practical part of the article presents the results of a psychological study on the basis of an educational institution. The result of the work done are recommendations for the development of educational success in the team of younger students.
