The paper describes the methods to analyze the external environment of the tourism business. The authors classify the methods of strategic analysis of external and internal environment; conducted SWOT-analysis and PEST-analysis of the hotel complex “Oreanda”.

The definition of the SWOT-analysis method is given, its advantages and disadvantages for the strategic management of agricultural enterprises are described. A scheme for choosing a development strategy based on a SWOT analysis is presented. A SWOT-analysis of the activities of agricultural enterprises in the Zernograd region was carried out, their strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities and threats, were identified.
The article analyses the external environment of APH "Miratorg" and its influence on the company. "Miratorg" is a full-cycle production company, but even this production structure does not allow the company to isolate itself from the external environment and its factors. Much attention is paid to the analysis of macroeconomic trends, political, environmental, socio-cultural and technological aspects of the external environment, as well as the study of the impact of micro factors such as competition, suppliers, consumers and new technologies.
