One of the conditions for successful learning at school is the development of certain skills, qualities, mental processes in students, for example, such an aspect of attention as concentration. It is necessary to teach children to concentrate at the beginning of training, when organizing various forms of training, as well as doing special work. The purpose of this study is to verify the selected working conditions for the development of first-graders' concentration focus in the process of organizing an astronomy club. The club allows us to expand and deepen the knowledge of children, to create more favorable conditions for the development of certain personal qualities and processes, for example, such an aspect of attention as concentration. The article describes the process of organizing work to develop the concentration of first-graders’ attention during astronomy club classes, as well as an experimental study concerning this problem, confirmed by testing in an educational institution.

The article is devoted to the study of the development of creative thinking in junior schoolchildren by means of graphic exercises. It is this age that is sensitive for the development of creative thinking. The aim of the work was to test the effectiveness of using graphic exercises for the development of creative thinking in first graders. The authors consider theoretical and methodological aspects of using graphic exercises, give examples of tasks and present the results of experimental work. It is noted that at this age we build the foundation of mental activity methods, and form the basics of mental actions.
The article deals with the problem of prevention and correction of early manifestations of school deprivation in first graders. School deprivation is considered as multifactorial process of decrease and infringement of ability of the child to learning because of discrepancy of conditions and requirements of educational process, social environment to its psychophysiological possibilities and needs.
The article deals with the problem of adaptation and successful socialization of first-graders. As a tool of continuity in the organization of the forms of activity of preschoolers and younger schoolchildren, a social test is proposed. The author presents the experience of a network educational team of educators and primary school teachers in the development and conduct of social tests.
