In this paper the author examines the religious rituals, the essence of which is the embodiment of religious ideas, an expression of belonging to a particular religious cult is a symbolic collective actions focused on the metaphysical objects. The author draws attention to religion, the basis of which is the belief in the supernatural, it assumes the existence of bilateral relations between the person and the object of worship. Religious rites continue to occupy an important place in human life, in spite of the modern pace of life and a certain workability in the development of civilization. This is connected with the age-old traditions, as well as the internal necessity of support from above, the belief in the existence of a higher justice.
analysis of the narrative strategy of V.G. Perov's «Stories of the Artist», in our opinion, gives a clear idea of the nature of the concepts that are paramount for the author’s worldview, which he visualizes in the material structure of the painting. The study of narrative as a factor structuring the world of artistic images in the literary experiments of V.G. Perov, discovers the creation of conceptual dominants that affect the nature of the iconic message of his paintings. A comparison of pictorial and literary images from the point of view of identifying author's narrative strategies makes it possible to establish the principles of the analogous relationship between visual and verbal perception.
