The paper article discusses the attempt to describe psychotherapeutic technique of MAC (metaphorical associative cards) in the context of the analysis of two levels of consciousness (rational and magical). The characteristic of the magical level of consciousness in contrast with the rational is given. It is noted that MAC has the ability to work in magic (mythological) level of consciousness. The author examines the process of gaining personal meaning within the MAC, based on the ideas of the leading Russian researchers O. K. Tikhomirov and V. E. Klochko; underscores the need for joint efforts of two levels of consciousness (rational and magical) to find solutions of existing problems in life and gain new personal resources. Reviewing the "magic" mechanisms of MAC allows you to penetrate deeper into the essence of cultural mechanisms of consciousness, reveal their individual content.

The empirical possibilities of the resource approach to the study of factors that increase the effectiveness of the educational activity of the school are presented. The emphasis is on the problem of identifying the personal resources of teachers and leaders. The results of the study of the style of self-regulation of teachers and heads of educational organizations with the status of "schools with low educational results" are presented. It was revealed that the problem area in the manifestation of the regulatory and personal properties of the self-regulation system is associated with a low level of expressiveness of teachers' independence, and the point of "growth" is the cognitive-regulatory components of self-regulation of both teachers and managers (first of all, the planning function).
