The world is globalized, not only in terms of political and economic ties, but also in the field of joint international research in various fields of science and technology. Following the trends in the development of a single educational space, there is an increased interest in the humanitarian sphere, in linguistics in particular. There are works that attract attention in the aspect of the problem of the symbiosis of linguistics and intercultural communication. The study of the interaction of language and culture in science is carried out by various methods. Scientists agree that the language embodies the special features of the people, the national perception of the world, is the basis of its culture. Language and culture are inextricably linked concepts. Moreover, language cannot exist outside of culture, and culture cannot exist outside of language. It should be noted that the multipolarity of relations between these concepts indicates the complexity of intercultural communication. The increased attention to the problem of intercultural communication just confirms its relevance over the past years.

The article describes one of the psychotherapeutic methods of self-correction of a person’s value-semantic sphere. The method is presented as a way of teaching the subject internal dialogue through organizing a dialogue between a psychologist and a client. A step-by-step algorithm for psychocorrectional work in this method is proposed.
Proverbs with images of fire representing a rich expressive layer of the language system are considered. The paremic expressions reflect the people's view and wit. They reflect the spiritual image of nation, ideals, intentions and reflections of various life aspects. Unlike other layers of vocabulary, proverbs express the thoughts that people have acquired through centuries of experience. Paremic expressions revive speech and only in it they obtain their true meaning.
