This article presents the peculiarities of thought operations of younger students with mental retardation. Unformed thinking component leads to the deprivation of the child's personality. In this regard, there is a need for development, correction of the thinking activity of primary school children, through well-chosen games and exercises.

The article discusses the features of preventing deviant behavior in children of primary school age. The article analyzes many factors influencing the formation of deviant behavior in children; the reasons for deviant behavior are indicated: biological, personal, social and family. The article identifies three main groups of deviant behavior: antisocial (delinquent behavior) behavior, asocial (immoral) behavior, self-destructive (self-destructive) behavior. Psychoprophylactic work can include measures at three levels: legal, medical and sanitary and pedagogical. The article discusses such forms of psychoprophylactic work as the organization of the social environment, information, active training in socially significant skills; organization of activities alternative to deviant behavior; organization of a healthy lifestyle; activation of personal resources; minimizing the negative consequences of deviant behavior.

The article substantiates the introduction of elements of aesthetic gymnastics into the physical education of schoolchildren to form a culture of movement, as well as general and special flexibility. As part of the study, aesthetic gymnastics exercises with appropriate musical accompaniment were developed and introduced into the introductory part of the primary school physical education lesson.
The article highlights the features of the formation of self-esteem in elementary school students, determined by social circumstances, types of activities and the basic mental development of children at this age. The study reflects the characteristics and motivation for the development of students' self-esteem during primary school. The formation of student self-esteem is considered as the basis for achieving individual educational results, which today is one of the strategic goals of modern education.
