The present article reveals the specifics of organization and rendering of psychological aid to the forced migrants in Russia and in foreign countries (Europe, Canada, USA). The comparison of the most effective approaches in psychological counseling and psychotherapy of refugees is presented. Recent Russian developments in rendering psychological aid to refugees as well as the principles of holism and multiculturalism as factors increasing efficiency of mental health service are also considered. Finally, the current state of mental health services in Russia and their readiness to provide psychological aid to internally displaced persons are considered.

The relevance of this study is driven by the increasing attention to the issue of childhood psychological trauma and the need to find effective methods for its resolution. The main objective of the article is a theoretical review of regression as a mechanism for processing psychological trauma. The article examines key theoretical approaches and therapeutic practices that utilize regression. The analysis supports the inclusion of regression in psychotherapeutic methods as an adaptive and healing resource.

The relevance of this study is determined by the growing interest in factors that ensure successful coping with the consequences of psychological trauma and contribute to post-traumatic growth. Particular importance is given to the study of emotional intelligence, which is regarded as a key resource for coping and personal development. The aim of the research is to analyze theoretical concepts of emotional intelligence and to identify their role in the mechanisms of post-traumatic growth. The study results in a systematization of contemporary approaches to understanding emotional intelligence, identification of its protective and developmental functions, and outlining practical directions for its application in psychotherapy and counseling practice.
