The article is devoted to the consideration of mythological images in the work of C.S. Lewis «The Chronicles of Narnia». The author of the article makes a comparative analysis of the mythological images found in the cycle with the images of ancient mythology. The author's observations show the connection of the heroes of the story with the creatures of ancient myths. The presence of Christian principles in the structure of the novel is also noted.

It is noted that the formation of the author as a folk poet occurs through self-awareness in the context of Russian culture, originating in the mists of time.
